Applying takes about 10 minutes. All you need is a 60-second video and our short application form.

Step 1: Record a 60-Second Video

Tell us:

  • Who you are.
  • Why your school or organization should be selected.
  • How professionally branded event equipment would benefit your students and community.
  • No professional equipment requiredyour phone is perfect.

Step 2: Upload Your Video

Post your video online:

  • Post your video on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, or upload it directly using the application form.
  • Be sure to include:
    #AffordableCanopyAct and tag: @CaliforniaCanopy
    (if posting on social media)

Step 3: Complete the Application

Fill out the short online application with:

  • Organization Name
  • Contact Information
  • Link to your video (or upload directly)
  • A brief description of your organization

Step 4: We'll Review Every Submission

Our team will review every application based on:

  • Community impact
  • Need
  • Story
  • Creativity
  • Potential impact on your students and organization

Step 5: Recipients Are Selected

Selected organizations will receive an:
